Itinerary Overview

Wednesday, October 7

Arrive in New York City late this afternoon. Transportation will be provided to the The Cornell Club at #6 East 44th Street, just off Fifth Avenue in midtown.

This evening there will be a get-acquainted cocktail reception & three-course dinner with wines at Kellari Taverna just a few steps from the Cornell Club.

Thursday, October 8

A full breakfast is included each morning at the Cornell Club.

This morning George will lead a BROADWAY HISTORY WALKING TOUR. Hear the stories as you walk in the footsteps of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Lerner & Loewe and the greats of the American Songbook.

After the walk, meet at the Museum of Broadway to chat with a cast member from one of our shows. Learn first-hand what it's like working on Broadway today, then admission to the museum is included.

Our first of four Broadway theater outings is Jellicle Ball, a spectacular reimagining of Cats — among the greatest shows of all time — starring André De Shields as Old Deuteronomy.

After the show, meet at Sardi's for a post-theater nightcap. CARLY & GEORGE will buy the first round.

Friday, October 9

Today enjoy New York in your own way; museums, shopping, Central Park or the High Line.

This morning George will offer to take you by subway to Brooklyn Heights for the most spectacular view of Manhattan from across the East River. The Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, the United Nations, Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty all in one panorama. Walk past the one-time homes of Aaron Copland, Norman Mailer, Arthur Miller, Truman Capote and Walt Whitman.

Tonight, our second Broadway theater outing is Ragtime with its massive new production at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Saturday, October 10

The morning is free to enjoy New York your own way.

For the matinee performance this afternoon, the choice is yours — included in the trip cost. Go to Playbill and YOU PICK!

After your matinee, meet at Lattanzi, the popular Broadway hang-out on 46th Street. A cocktail & house wines go with our two-course dinner before an evening performance.

Our fourth and final theater outing is TBD. Carly & George have their eye on several shows coming up this fall including: Beaches, The Rocky Horror Show and Just in Time with Jeremy Jordan.

Sunday, October 11

Enjoy your New York Sunday morning with The New York Times and a leisurely breakfast; visit St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Coach transportation will be provided to the airport for afternoon flights home.
